I’m going to buy a cookbook

imagesbfc.jpgI love my cable television, especially the food channel.

My favorite cook is Ina Garten, aka The Barefoot Contessa.

The Contessa’s food and recipes are really yummy, but there’s another reason I like her show.

The Barefoot Contessa enjoys her food; like me, she’s a woman of substance.

Also, viewers see the Contessa serving her creations to friends and family members in her home (at least I think it’s her home).

Flowers are everywhere, and the sun always seems to be shining.

So, like any deranged fan worth his/her salt, I’m saving up to buy a signed Barefoot Contessa Cookbook.

  2. I really like her, Caroldee. I watched her make a 3-layer chocolate cake on Monday. Very yummy looking! She’s not a low fat cooker, not really, but she’s trying :)

  3. Of course I don’t have to tell you to check online for her books on the cheap but I think I saw her cookbooks at Costco…and of course Third Place Books. I also have several cookbooks and love to cook – see? more separation at birth. All in moderation my dear..broiled fish with salad one night 3 layer cake the next – snort. Actually the deal is make what you like and either give half away or freeze it. I make my carrot cake in 6 small bundletts and freeze half.

  4. Yeah, I live for the cake nights, Fran :) Half-price books has a lot of good cookbooks, and I’ll give it a try!
